The Bay
Corners for connection
Designed for a young family seeking to adapt their Edwardian home for contemporary life, this project is an exercise in thoughtful restraint. A cubic zinc-clad extension, paired with reclaimed brickwork and a light-filled play space, reconfigures the home to embrace garden views and family connection — all within a deliberately modest footprint.

A minimal glass bay frames moments of pause and reflection, drawing in natural light while opening the home to its garden. Inside, a calm, social kitchen sits at the centre — a flexible space for family life to gather and grow.
A modest intervention, The Bay draws on reclaimed materials, natural light, and a finely detailed zinc form to create a warm home that connects seamlessly to its garden.
Timber cladding wraps the side utility room, offering a clean, natural finish that contrasts with the zinc-clad rear. Left untreated, it will gradually weather to a soft grey.
